I stood at the edge of a line that never ended. Ahead, a door I had already opened โ€” but the handle was on the wrong side now.

Behind me, a room full of things that were almost done. Almost is its own kind of architecture.

I reached for the handle. It turned before my fingers touched it.

The door opened. I stepped through. There was nothing there but the space Iโ€™d been making all along.
